  AES Anchored Gabion Retaining Wall is the wall which is suitable for Hill Side vertical fall protection where drilling and anchoring is possible and space constraint is there.

Construction of Anchored Gabion Retaining Wall for slope stabilization and earth retention works, using double-twisted hexagonal wire mesh gabion boxes filled with rock boulders and anchored to the slope or foundation to enhance structural stability and resistance against sliding and overturning.

The work includes:

• Site preparation and foundation leveling as per approved drawings and design requirements.

• Supply and installation of galvanized / PVC-coated wire mesh gabion boxes of specified size, securely laced and tied together at all joints.

• Placement and packing of rock boulders inside gabion boxes in layers to achieve maximum interlocking and minimize voids.

• Installation of ground anchors / rock anchors at designed locations and depths to provide additional stability and resistance to lateral earth pressure.

• Connection of gabion wall to anchors through anchor plates and tensioning systems as per design.

• Provision of drainage filter media behind the wall using geotextile or granular material to prevent pore pressure buildup.

• Includes all materials, labour, equipment, tools, scaffolding, and safety arrangements required for complete and proper execution as per specifications and direction of the Engineer-in-Charge.
