Providing, drilling, installing, grouting, and tensioning of Prestressed Rock Anchors for stabilization of slopes, retaining walls, foundations, or other geotechnical structures as per approved design and specifications.
The work includes:
Drilling of boreholes of specified diameter and depth through soil or rock strata using suitable drilling rigs.
Supply and installation of high-tensile steel tendons (bars or strands) complete with centralizers, grout tubes, sheathing, and anchor heads.
Grouting of boreholes with cementitious grout under controlled pressure to achieve full bond length and corrosion protection.
Installation of bearing plates, anchor heads, wedges, and couplers as per design details.
Tensioning (prestressing) of anchors to the specified load using calibrated hydraulic jacks and locking off at the required force.
Conducting pull-out and load testing on selected anchors to verify performance and compliance with specifications.
Includes all materials, labour, tools, jacks, pumps, gauges, grouting equipment, scaffolding, and safety arrangements required for complete and satisfactory execution as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
